Scientists, list endangered ecosystems
(ANSA) – SYDNEY, May 9 – Australian scientists fill, in collaboration with the International Union for the conservation of nature (IUCN), a ‘red list’, which identifies the ecosystems on the verge of collapse. The new method gives a ranking of ecosystems, including plants and animals existing in the area of land or water that interact with each other, explained the Chief of research, David Keith of the University of new South, in the journal PLoS ONE Wales.
