Prehnite cast after Anhydrite:

arkenstone-irocks:

PRNJ-15
Prehnite cast after Anhydrite Prospect Park Quarry, Prospect Park, Passaic Co., New Jersey, USA Small Cabinet,
6 X 5.6 X 3 cm
DRAMATIC complete-allaround specimen with somehow a more powerful visual impact than the other pieces here with isolated crystals. This is an aesthetic prehnite specimen where a single, very lustrous, translucent, light apple-green finger rises majestically between two smaller fingers. Additionally, ther are two lustrous, translucent, colorless, calcite crystals, to 1.25 cm in length; the larger of the two being doubly-terminated. A view up the bottom clearly exhibits hollow casts that used to be anhydrite.
