Italian exports outside EU rose 1.2% in September

Italian exports outside EU rose 1.2% in September (ANSA) – Rome, October 23 – Italian exports toward non-EU countries grew 1.2% in September compared to August, preliminary findings of the Italian statistics agency Istat revealed Wednesday.

Imports into the recession-hit economy also rose, but by a more modest 0.4% over the same period. An an annual basis, September’s exports were 1.0% higher than the same month in 2012.

Imports fell 5.7% on an annual basis.
