Heart attack kills 25% men and 38% of women
(ANSAmed) – Rome, October 31 – after a first heart attack, male mortality is 25%, for women of 38%. Since it was shown at a Conference on health of gender at the Istituto Superiore di Sanita (Iss). Women are taking more drugs, more often go to the doctor, they live longer, but with lower quality of life. Mortality from lung cancer, for example, is twice that of men while cardiovascular diseases arrive later in women, but with much heavier consequences. All rights reserved
