Bocelli sings to raise funds for Rome paediatric hospital

(ANSA) – Rome, December 3 – Italian singer Andrea Bocelli on Monday night performed at the Vatican’s Nervi Hall to raise funds for the capital’s Bambin Gesu’ paediatric hospital.

The concert, attended by 9,000 people including Vatican State Secretary Pietro Paolin and his predecessor Tarcisio Bertone, was promoted by the Vatican State Secretariat.

The concert was part of a campaign to raise funds for a new cardiac intensive care unit at the hospital.
