Arrest of wounded Napoli fans confirmed

P(see related) (ANSA) – Rome, May 7 – A judge in Rome on Wednesday confirmed the arrest of Ciro Esposito, the Napoli fan shot and critically wounded before Saturday’s Italian Cup final. The 29-year-old who risks being paralyzed from the waist down was among hardcore ultra fans who clashed with Roma ultras outside the Stadio Olimpico, where Napoli’s match against Fiorentina was halted for nearly an hour in the ensuing ruckus. The arrest of Daniele De Santis, the AS Roma supporter suspected of the shooting, was due to be confirmed later Wednesday on charges of attempted murder, judicial sources said.BRJudges also confirmed the arrest of Napoli fan Gennaro Fioretti, in hospital after hand surgery, accused along with Esposito of brawling.BR/P
